Karl and Sandi made their way to Sunfield, Michigan in 1963 and he began his die sinking  apprenticeship program through Lansing Community College. Both Karl and Sandi were 4-H leaders for over a decade and spent many summers leading 4-H kids at the Ionia Free Fair. Karl was also a top three Calf-roper in the State of Michigan. Horses remained a huge part of their lives and they were never very far from 4-H kids who’s lives they had influenced or horse friends that were forged while traveling all over the United States attending horse shows.
